The Council for Interpreting North County History (CINCH) drew together 30 years ago as a collaborative of historical societies and museums, archives and libraries, houses and ranchos, and archaeological sites. Together, the collaborative researches, preserves, and makes public a wealth of materials that illustrate the breadth, depth, and import of events, peoples, places, and passions across North County San Diego. As of 2025, CINCH has been coordinated by Hillel Schwartz, Archivist, and Carolyn Cope, President, of the Encinitas Historical Society, and may be contacted via info@encinitashistoricalsociety.org.
